1. Segway Tour of Chicago from Segway Experience
We admit to being really big fans of Segway tours in general, so this selection might seem biased, but Segway Tours of Chicago are a bit of a different breed. From our most recent count, there looks to be at least five major Segway tour operators in Chicago (most cities seem to have only two or three). And while we haven't made it onto all of them, our favorite, and the one that seems to get the best reviews, comes from Segway Experience. They're the "Segway Authorized" tour provider in Chicago, so it means they have the backing of the company that makes Segways. And the general trend we've noticed is that these guys tend to do it best (high standards perhaps?).
So if you're looking to see the sites on what we believe is the best tour of Chicago, don't have a lot of time, or just want to enjoy the fun that is flying through Grant Park on a Segway, consider Segway Experience of Chicago!
2. Architectural Chicago Boat Tour
Since Chicago is known for its glorious collection of architecture, architectural tours of Chicago are supposed to be one of the best ways to see Chicago. As a result, many different companies offer different ways to see Chicago's unique architecture, but one of our favorites was via a Chicago boat tour on Lake Michigan. Yes, experiencing architecture from afar along the water might seem like a bit of a contradiction (which is what we thought, too), but once you're actually out on an architectural boat tour, Chicago architecture by water quickly reveals the reason why it actually ends up being a great way to get a feel for the city's buildings. For our money, Chicago Tours offered the best boat tour of Chicago to see the city's architecture. It wasn't too long (only an hour) and relatively inexpensive (around $30), the guides knew what they were talking about and the boat was clean!

Bus tours of just about any city is always a good way to go. So a bus tour of Chicago is going to be a good option. And because Chicago is such an enormous city, that can be really helpful.
